Sales Advisor is one of our most important positions, and a great way to start your career with us. Many of our managers started on the sales floor, where it’s all about excellent customer service.
To be a good fit for our Sales Advisor team you’re a multi-tasker who enjoys working in a fast paced environment You’re also a positive, friendly person with great organising skills and who enjoys working with a team of people who are just as outgoing and interested in fashion, and providing excellent customer service as you are.
Working in the store means representing H&M. You inspire, guide and help our customers in every way. Whether it’s on the sales floor, in the fitting rooms or at our cash desk. Great customer service also includes handling incoming garments and making sure the store looks attractive. And of course staying fully informed about all our campaigns and sales activities.
As a Department Manager at H&M, you will spend 80% of your time where it all happens – on the shop floor. Not only because that’s more fun, but also to support your colleagues. To achieve superb selling figures you know the importance of listening to your team’s ideas and helping them to develop their skills.
The Department Managers we’re looking for need to be very hands-on. You enjoy the fast pace of our business and a job where you make quick decisions and put them into practice. You run your department with excellent customer service on the sales floor, in the fitting room and at the cash desks When you’re not in the store supporting your team, you develop sales strategies and merchandising presentations, and plan for campaigns and activities. You train, develop and assess the Sales Advisors, as well as organise and plan your department for success.
The role of a Visual Merchandiser means being creative and fast-paced. You will train, motivate and coach your colleagues to constantly think commercially.
To say that fashion is your interest would be an understatement. You know all the trends and have a great eye for presenting our collections in an inspiring and commercial way. We’re looking for a great team player, a person full of inspiration – who also knows how to inspire others.
Your job is to present our garments in an eye catching way and to follow up on sales activities. You will be responsible for windows and in-store displays, making sure the store is inspiring to our customers. You will also train and coach your colleagues onsite, about visual merchandising and garment presentation.
Being a Store Manager at H&M is all about inspiring and motivating your team to be able to achieve great results.
To be a successful Store Manager at H&M you must possess excellent leadership skills and have a sharp eye for business. You also need to be able to coach and develop others to reach their full potential.
Your role as a Store Manager is to maximise the sales opportunities and the profitability of your store, and to follow up on the results. You need to ensure the highest possible level of customer service and make sure the visual merchandising is carried out according to our guidelines. You will also manage recruitment, training and development for the Sales Advisors and the Store Management team.
Cash Office Responsible
Working as a Cash Office Responsible (COR) means you’re responsible for the daily organisation of the Cash Office.
We are looking for analytical sales people who are organised, structured and able to communicate well at all levels. Preparation is the key in this role as every day there will be lots to do. You’ll have great drive and ambition and experience of using your own initiative.
The Cash Office Responsible is in charge of all our money handling – from money transports and providing change for the registers, to daily account reconciliation and payroll verifications. An important part of your role is to also inform, train and update employees on cash procedures and store routines, while occasionally assisting your colleagues on the store floor.
Online Customer Service Agent
Customer Service Agents at H&M don’t just answer questions – they build relationships with our customers and ensure the H&M can continue to offer great fashion at a great price. The fast-paced environment at Customer Service means no day is like the next. To fit the profile you need to be an enthusiastic multi-tasker who can maintain a cool and professional approach even in stressful situations. You’re used to taking responsibility and using your own initiative, while always having a smile on your face.
We want you to enjoy working with both computers and people – often simultaneously. You should also be a great communicator and eager to stay updated on current campaigns, sales activities and strategies. Last but not least, you have a great interest in fashion.
Your daily work includes handling enquiries about online orders, collections and products across every channel – from e-mail and live chat to telephone calls and regular mail correspondence.
Online Customer Service Team Coach
Team Coaches in Customer Service have a really important job to do. With hundreds of enquiries coming through our department daily, the Team Coaches stay customer focused, positive and give excellent service – while coaching their teams to do exactly the same.
The Team Coaches we are looking for will take responsibility for developing their team and their workplace. You need to have excellent leadership skills and be organised, efficient and hands-on. Your energy is contagious, you’re motivational and inspiring, and you know how to get your team to deliver results and service according to H&M standards. You’re also a great communicator.
Your job is to build excellent, long-term relationships with our customers, and to train your Customer Service team of around 15 people. You will plan and follow up on activities and goals together with your team and your managers – all to maximise sales and profitability through excellent customer service. You will also ensure our routines are always followed.

The company takes great care of their staff and you feel part of a team. There are good benefits and often extra staff offers and discounts.
Sometimes you may be unsure of what time your shift will end. The busier the day, the messier the store, the longer you must stay to clean up!

I applied online. I interviewed at H&M.
Applied online and got a call a few hours later asking to chat over the phone. Went through a 10-15 minute phone screening where they asked me about my availability and my resume then got invited to an in-person interview the next day. At the in-person interview I met 2 managers and they asked me pretty basic retail questions. The managers were really chill and made me feel super comfortable. After they interviewed me, they left the room to deliberate for a few minutes and came back to offer me the job and have me fill out paperwork.
