Hafod is one of the leading providers of Care, Support and Housing in South Wales.
We are a values driven organisation and our 1,300 staff work together to deliver our vision of ‘Making Lives Better’. Our Values came about by listening to our employees and agreeing the behaviors which guide us to help to Make Lives Better. They are Working Together, Respect, Professional, Learning and improving and Great service.
Our care services include:
• Care homes providing a range of long and short-term care, including residential, nursing, respite, end-of-life, and specialist dementia care
• Community Home Care teams supporting people to live independently and remain in their own homes
• Extra care housing schemes providing older people with independent living
• Supporting people services enabling people to live independently in their community
We have over 4,500 affordable homes, the majority of which are for rent, plus we offer a wide range of other rental and home ownership options. We also specialise in helping the homeless by providing and managing temporary accommodation.
We are extremely proud of our colleagues Keeli Morgan, Maintenance Surveyor/Energy Assessor and Michelle Llewellyn, Group Engagement Coordinator who have been chosen, along with four other pairs, to be the faces of the M&S Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign for 2018.
Today signals the launch of the campaign and the unveiling of Keeli and Michelle in window displays and in-store decor in M&S stores in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport (and across the UK!) – as well as on the M&S website.
The pair have worked together at Hafod for 10 years and have become best friends over time. However that bond has become a lot stronger over the last 12 months when they were both diagnosed with and underwent treatment for breast cancer.
They were chosen from around 40 applicants to take part in the 2018 Breast Cancer Now campaign in partnership with M&S. This years’ theme is not only to increase awareness of the partnership which aims to raise money for vital breast cancer research, but also to highlight the benefits of having someone to support you whilst going through your journey.
