The business managers were great to work with on projects.
Horrible leadership skills and communication from IT management. Not able to clearly assign projects and roles. Major communication problems and little knowledge of processes in own environment.
Advice to Management
It management needs to study the art of communication and leading people or just go back to being a worker bee and get out of leadership.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hanson Building Products (Chipping Sodbury, England) in November 2017.
Initial interview with two senior members of HR. Online OPQ followed by
second Interview with HR team members/colleagues of the person who will be taking this role.
The first interview was fine, easy questions and friendly setting. The interviewers were very professional, polite and listened to my answers. The second interview was completely different. One of the interviewers was very rude and aggressive, cut me off repeatedly (as well as her colleague) and focused all of her questions on one job I did over 10 years ago. It was evident within 30 seconds of her opening her mouth that I was not going to get the job as she had clearly made her mind up (based on the outcome of the OPQ) that I was not the right person. The rest of the interview was merely killing time until she could get me out of the room.
This was one job I was glad not to have got as I would not have wanted to work in a team where this behaviour at interview was considered acceptable.
