    CRM Specialist Interview

    Anonymous Employee in London, England
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hawes and Curtis (London, England) in Oct 2020

Why exert pressure and build up my hopes after two F2F interviews, only to be left in the dark for two weeks?

After the selection stage, a video interview was conducted which was straight to the point as they were seeking someone who also wants the job, and not for a stopgap. They mentioned whether if successful whether I can come in for a handover before their employee departs (the following week), which I agreed to as it helps both parties. I was informed that they want to hire relatively quickly, but would like the team to have a say so there will be a call to setup with them. I received a call a few hours later to be told that they were impressed and would like me to meet the team the following day.

The second interview was with a select few members of the team only, relatively laid-back and was more of a character judgement. This went well with a lot of questions asked and information shared. I looked forward to hearing the feedback from them all.

However, since then it took two chaser emails over two weeks to finally get feedback which is unsatisfactory given that I had spent time and effort in preparation and the interviews themselves. The reasons why I didn't get an offer was because they had other candidates who matched the brief closer than me, and I wasn't available immediately.

Thanks but this doesn't help me in my job search, at all. No constructive feedback considering I had two F2F interviews. If it was already established that I was not immediately available, then I shouldn't have been given a second interview and got my hopes up for nothing. After two weeks, it's fairly obvious that I hadn't got the role but please at least be professional; provide appropriate feedback and cut the ties (pun intended), so we can both move on.

What kind of situation do you thrive in?
