    Pros

    Autonomy, you are given support to do your job to the best of your ability. Managers help you and each person has their own role which is not above or below anyone else. Truly amazing company to work for.

    Cons

    Its busy, always busy. You work hard but its rewarding.

    Application

    I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Hawksmoor (London, England) in July 2016.

    Interview

    The interview was held just before lunch service so everyone was setting up. The staff were all very friendly and offered me a drink whilst I waited. It was a very pleasant atmosphere. Like many interviews in hospitality, if you have the right experience its not a rigorous process initially, but more about seeing if you fit the vibe of the venue.

    Interview Questions

    • I was simply asked to tell the interviewer about myself and what I was looking for in my next role. I was offered a position but it was not what I was looking for. The person I interviewed with was lovely and she completely understood. She gave me an overview of what the role I was actually interested in and said she’d flag my CV for the head office as she agreed my experience was better suited for that role. We’ll see…   1 Answer

    Reasons for Declining

    I specifically applied for an office-based position but apparently my CV was sent out directly to one of the sites for a floor-based role. It was only slightly inconvenient as I was happy to get a feel for the company and see what they were like behind the scenes. I'm still interested in a position like the one I applied for.
