After submitting a job application, personally how long do you wait before not hearing any response that you take the intended job out of consideration and move on? (Not counting those random out of the blue jobs where recruiters hit you up 2-3 months later after you’ve applied.) I’ve been on the hiring end so I know how the processes work, so I give it a week max now as an applicant. I wanted to ask what everyone else’s personal timeline was?

Hello there. HR (large hospital) contacted me with my new position’s salary offer. I would like to counter it. I did the math and they offered me exactly where my years of service fell on the salary range. With that being said, has anyone in healthcare at a hospital been able to negotiate based off merit, skills, certifications, etc. I know I got the job based off of those things, so why shouldn’t my salary reflect that? I applied online. I interviewed at HeliosX Group (United States) in Apr 2022
InterviewDisappointing candidate experience from a company bragging about 5 stars on Glassdoor. The person interviewing me had the attention anywhere else but at me. He seemed like being chased by others, I could see that he was shuffling through various things on his screen and at some point I had to repeat what I was saying because he wasn't paying attention. When we've got to the part where I had some questions, his interest in our conversation was completely lost and his answers were as short as possible, with no clear information provided. Following this interview I withdrew my application and in the email I sent I offered an honest and polite feedback regarding the interview. In the reply back from the interviewer I was told that the lack of interest came from the fact that I didn't read anything at all about the company. One, even if that would have been the case, we are all professionals, so respect should not be conditioned on if a candidate has read or not about the company. Two, I did read about the company and I had questions based on the information read on the website and requested more clarification, but, as I said, the attention of the interviewer was somewhere else. Personally, I will avoid HeliosX in the future. And a word of advise, that 5 stars on Glassdoor won't be there long with this attitude.
Informal interview, questions around my experience; it was meant to include a presentation of the company and the role, but that didn't happen.Answer Question
