    Pros

Hotels.com is hands down the best of the EG brands to work for...feels still much more relaxed when comparing the corporate Expedia. The hierarchy is super flat, and the CEO is very hands-on - very likeable guy who does his best to address any feedback coming his way.

    Cons

Getting promotions can take years, even for over-performers(unless you change roles).
Dallas / London divide...it feels like London should be the real HQ

    Advice to Management

Please don’t try to become Expedia! Hotels.com culture is what keeps people engaged.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hotels.com (London, England) in June 2019.

    Interview

After an initial phone screening with HR I had a video interview with the creative director 3 months ago. The interviewer was 15 minutes late but was happy to extend the interview, which was fine but he had no regard for my time. In my experience video interviews are not ideal as they feel quite awkward, however, I thought it had gone well and I was looking forward to the next stage. Unfortunately, I am still waiting for any feedback despite sending follow up emails to multiple people. It is disappointing that they couldn’t spare 2 minutes to let me know either way. I know other people who have also been ‘ghosted’ even after onsite interviews at Hotels.com/Expedia so it doesn’t give a good impression of the company.
