Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

ProsIncredibly people-focused, awesome team, flexible working, and modern tech stacks. Ability to work with and learn from some very talented developers - and the business supports these learnings with
ConsUse of some legacy internal systems can slow down the team, however plans are in place to upgrade.
Advice to ManagementPitching new product ideas to the teams to get thoughts, and a clear roadmap available to all staff would be great.

InterviewThe process was very friendly, and any of my fears were put at ease straight away. For my role in particular I had an initial chat with a couple of members of the team, were I was asked about myself and my previous job. This was followed up with a small design task. Finally there was a second chat with a couple of team members to follow up my design and also to find out more about the company.
