Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Human Made (United Kingdom) in Apr 2022

    Interview

After my initial application I was contacted and asked to submit a lengthy presentation as part of the next steps. After hearing nothing back for several weeks I chased for feedback to be given a very short rejection email just stating I was not being progressed, no explaniation or discussion. Extremely poor form given the lengths they expect candidates to go to.

Please tell us a bit about your current role and why you are looking to move on. Based on your own experience of running People Ops teams, how has the pandemic impacted remote people operations in globally distributed companies? How have you responded to these changes? What role does HR and People Ops have in promoting and sustaining a company’s culture? Please outline three principles that you consider essential to keeping a globally distributed remote company running smoothly. How have you used these principles in your own work? Please outline three strengths and three areas for improvement that you have as a leader, and how these align with Human Made's values.
