Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

InterviewAfter my initial application I was contacted and asked to submit a lengthy presentation as part of the next steps. After hearing nothing back for several weeks I chased for feedback to be given a very short rejection email just stating I was not being progressed, no explaniation or discussion. Extremely poor form given the lengths they expect candidates to go to.

...I struggle to think of any major cons, but this is a technology company, so anyone that works here should be technically competent due to the wide range of tools and services that are used, not only that but constant evolution and experimentation mean the retirement and new adoptions of tools are high....
