Company Updates

  • Last week our People Team held their annual team building day. The focus of the day was Wellbeing so we started the day with a yoga and meditation session followed by an afternoon of canoeing around the Olympic Park. Of course, sandwiched between these two activities we celebrated our achievements and discussed the need to be adaptable and agile to stay ahead of the game with the ever changing HR and Talent landscape. It was a fun, inspiring and thought provoking day!

  • On Saturday of last weekend, as the sun blazed down, 40 colleagues (and friends, family and dogs!) from across nearly every ICS division walked up the highest mountain in Southern England / Wales, Pen Y Fan in South Wales. Some of us even had a dip in the (cold) mountain lake!

    Some galloped up the 3,000ft mountain, and some of us took a more leisurely pace, but everyone enjoyed it immensely! It was great meeting people from across the business and everyone was rightly proud of their achievement.

Work experience:  We offer a 1-2-week rotation scheme for school and college students, which gives you the opportunity to experience different parts of our business followed by a workshop with our Talent Acquisition team. Get a flavour of what it’s like to work in our world!

Apprenticeships: If you’re leaving school or college, and not sure whether to continue in education or join the world of work, an apprenticeship could be for you. An apprenticeship will allow you to earn whilst gaining a recognised qualification. Furthermore, you will forge new skills that will help to shape your career with us. 

Trainee roles: If you want an opportunity to join the business in a more immersive entry-level position, this could be for you. You will learn on the job and be provided with clear goals and KPIs to aim for.

Business Placements:  For those undertaking a degree, a business placement allows you to put the theory that you learn as part of your course into a business context and may even secure you a future position!

Pulse is a leading provider of health and social care staffing to the UK and international healthcare sectors.     I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at ICS (London, England) in October 2017.


    Went for an assessment centre and then had the interview with ICS for a recruitment consultant position but I never heard back from the company on the result and still haven't. It's been over 10 days and they just don't respond to any emails or provide feedback.
