    Interview

I applied through indeed. The process took 3 weeks. I was interviewed at ICS London, England in February 2020.
I was required to make a presentation on Pulse website redevelopment both pre and post redevelopment strategy planning to be included. I was interviewed by 3 people, or should i say 3 "headless chickens" as it was very clear that they where very dependent of digital agencies doing the work for them and knew nothing about digital optimisation, SEO trends or PPC conversion. As I was doing my PowerPoint presentation, i was constantly being interrupted with the most basic questions to wich I already had answered on a slide...In overall the interview process and the interview itself was a completely waste of my time. My recommendations to the stakeholders of ICS would be: Make sure you add qualified personnel to your marketing department that are capable of assessing your candidates skills and make sure they have either A digital marketing diploma, PPC certification, SEO certification, and know how to develop WordPress websites as I do!

Company Updates

  • Last week our People Team held their annual team building day. The focus of the day was Wellbeing so we started the day with a yoga and meditation session followed by an afternoon of canoeing around the Olympic Park. Of course, sandwiched between these two activities we celebrated our achievements and discussed the need to be adaptable and agile to stay ahead of the game with the ever changing HR and Talent landscape. It was a fun, inspiring and thought provoking day!

  • On Saturday of last weekend, as the sun blazed down, 40 colleagues (and friends, family and dogs!) from across nearly every ICS division walked up the highest mountain in Southern England / Wales, Pen Y Fan in South Wales. Some of us even had a dip in the (cold) mountain lake! Some galloped up the 3,000ft mountain, and some of us took a more leisurely pace, but everyone enjoyed it immensely! It was great meeting people from across the business and everyone was rightly proud of their achievement.
