"Good salary but really unpleasant balance between work and life"

I worked at Iberia

Good salary (depens of hours per week) and really friendly people working there.

Messy schedules, every day changing your schedule, impossibility to conceal private life and work. Managers and supervisors generally just care about results. Sometimes tell off in front of customers

    Digital Transformation Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Madrid
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Iberia (Madrid)

Fairly slow process. The entire application lasted roughly four months and consisted of four interviews. The interviews focused mostly on the cultural fit since my profile displayed how comfortable I was around technology.

It's notable to say that the communication was terrible. The amount of follows made, weeks without contact, were extremely off-putting for such a well known and big company.

Another negative point was the fact that the employees would swirl around the salary question, but never open up about values. This was extremely detrimental since it will mislead most candidates.

Finally, after such a terrible process, I received a meager offer in the form of a scholarship sponsored by the Spanish government. Before I had a chance to decide upon the proposal, the HR personnel canceled my offer. I condemn this type of behavior and strongly recommend to anyone considering to apply to Iberia to be ready for unprofessional behaviors.
