Investigo – Why Work With Us?

We work in the ultimate people industry, where the right individuals in the right seats doing the right things, make all the difference.

That's why at INVESTIGO we believe that our one USP is our people and that creating a rewarding and fulfilling working LIFE must remain our first priority. Our purpose in the world of recruitment is to make a difference and our mission is to grow to 300 (250 fee-earners with 50 fantastic support staff) people by 2021.

Welcome to INVESTIGO LIFE which is dedicated to providing the best working environment we can - after all, most of us will spend 100,000 hours of our lives at work so it's vital that our work life is great.

INVESTIGO LIFE is also about giving you an insight into what it's really like to work at INVESTIGO. Our people join us because of the challenges, the opportunities and the rewards - and they stay with us because of the culture.

We hope you enjoy reading about LIFE at INVESTIGO but make sure you do your due diligence. Words are cheap so if you like not only what you read, but also what you hear about us, then get in contact to find out more. My number is 07595 915541. I look forward to hearing from you.

Gary Watson
CEO

If you ask anyone who works at Investigo what sets us apart, the answer is invariably “our culture” which is best described as open, honest, friendly - and above all: fun.

Our people enjoy coming into work because they are surrounded by an eclectic group of individuals, each of whom share a common purpose: to make a difference. The collaborative environment encourages people not only to work together but also to socialise together too. Our football team, netball team, squash club, LGBT group Investigay and regular after work drinks, all mean that there is no shortage of opportunities to get together with the rest of the company outside of work, should you wish to.

At work, you will find your colleagues at Investigo are exceptional in terms of their desire to build meaningful relationships with their candidates and clients. Central to this are our values of integrity, passion, commitment, fairness and expertise. It is important that every person we employ also shares these values to ensure that our culture continues to attract and retain the very best talent within the industry.

’Without doubt, the best company I have ever worked for. You will be surrounded by very motivated people with a wealth of experience. There is a great culture cultivated by a team of excellent people.’
Glassdoor Review

Creating an environment where our employees are challenged and given the opportunity to excel is paramount to us.

We offer a real meritocratic environment, with progression open to every individual within the business. Clear guidelines on the qualifications for advancement are widely publicised and open to you regardless of tenure.

We aim to develop people and provide coaching and mentoring to facilitate career progression and promotion from within. Our promotion record to date is Associate Consultant to Director in 6 years. You will find us more autonomous than many of our competitors due to everyone in the business conducting their working day with commitment and integrity to be the very best they can be.

Our Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) is designed to attract and retain individuals who understand how to grow a profitable business and create real value. If you aspire to run your own business at some stage, then you should be talking to us.

’Investigo is definitely the recruitment company to work for if you like autonomy and thrive at building your business, the best way you see fit. Given the nature of how the business expanded initially, there are plenty of high calibre Consultants and Directors to collaborate with, which helps create a high performance culture.’
Glassdoor Review

We have created an aspirational environment, where our employees strive to excel.

Regularly recognising and rewarding personal contribution across our workforce is vital to maintaining our culture. Our compensation package is at the heart of rewarding our employees (both support and fee-earners) for their efforts.

Our reward scheme is simple and transparent, designed to attract and retain the best talent in the industry. We have complete visibility for
fee-earners over their earning potential and our top-up platinum scheme ensures fairness across the business for fee-earners.

We bring the whole company together twice a year to say thank you - at the Christmas Party and our Summer Conference. We recognise
our High Fliers with quarterly trips overseas to luxury destinations such as Iceland, Menorca,
Ibiza and Courchevel.

’I have worked at four other recruitment businesses and this is by far the best. They have the balance between having fun and working hard, as well as rewarding their staff with a great commission scheme and regular incentives / high performer trips.’

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Investigo (London, England) in December 2018.

    Interview

    very thorough
I met 3 different teams and people at all levels of the business - consultant, manager, director, executive director.
They focused more on me as a person rather that the role that i was applying for. my motivators, ambition, personal life (without being intrusive). They seemed like they wanted to get to know me rather than just hire me for my skills.
Also there were the standard questions ' describe yourself in 3 words', 'talk us through a time that you have overcome great adversity' etc...
