    Pros

Love this skincare brand. Love the management as well.

    Cons

Founder is rude and doesn’t know her own formulas. She causes a lot of pain for the company

    Advice to Management

Please keep the founder in control. So many people love the brand but when she steps into the business, it all comes down.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Kate Somerville (Beverly Hills, CA (US)).

    Interview

I applied online and got a call from HR to set up the in-person interview. I made sure to go there early since you never know about traffic especially since it's in the middle of Beverly Hills (and it's nice to be early anyway.)
HR situated me in the conference room waiting to see the interviewer from their creative department. I showed them my portfolio and explained my role and my experiences etc like how I normally would at any interview. They asked me questions like how my design process is like within the company and what inspired me etc, again pretty common to what I went through at all the interviews I've ever been to, nothing that I haven't heard of/asked.
At the end they ask me if I have any question and I asked them how the work load is like and what would be my responsibility if I get the job and also room of growth. Both designers( I think one of them is the art director) gave me pretty straight forward answers.
After talking to them, the HR personal came back and talk to me more, again, basic interview questions that if you google interview you'll see bunch of times. They told me they are still seeing all the candidates and will contact people for second interview once they pick the top candidates. I got the business card from the HR and asked him if I can follow up with him in couple weeks and he was super nice about it and said of course.
Hopefully I get the call back, would be great to be part of a high-end beauty company with nice coworkers, wish me luck.
