I worked at Kindred Group full-time (More than 3 years)
Kindred was a fantastic working experience for me. My time in the company gave me the confidence back, that I was lacking at my previous role. The company will give you every opportunity to succeed.
There is a good bunch of people that work at the company as well, and the culture is on point.
There is a clear defining vision and strategic approach from the company, and everyone from the CEO down to the customer support staff, are integrated into realising that vision.
There is a really strong benefit package.
There's a glass ceiling when it comes to certain positions.
The salary isn't always in line with others in the industry.
Advice to Management
Keep building out the strategies you are currently doing, having a defining target to work towards really helps everyone pull together.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kindred Group (London, England) in April 2017.
After 10+hrs (1hr phone, 2hrs in person 1:1, 5hrs final interview in the office, 2 hours for HR online tests + prep time) they went radio silent for 2 weeks - quite unprofessional by any measure. It all started on a positive note, but in the process incompetence and unprofessionalism were visible - Head of Data was not aware of how company shares are doing, interviewee gave wrong answers to his own interview questions. In addition, he was also rather mean and rude and only after few days I remembered that my previous company rejected him years ago, which may have explained his behavior. My own rejection came because of poor behavioral fit, which given its' subjectivity is a fair enough reason. Overall I found nice people there (except the person above) and the company itself is ripe for better use of data analytics, but hiring process is inefficient, so beware of time and energy spent.
