I worked at Kura full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This was the best company within my career I had worked for. I was in an amazing team with wonderful people and we all got on really well and it was very much like a family. The senior management and also the leadership team were non hierarchical and very approachable at all times, the company had a great vision for the future and were always keeping you informed of business updates, great location in the city centre, the on-site canteen was a real bonus which served nice hot food and also nice healthy food too, friendly kitchen staff and overall a really lovely place to work, I still sometimes miss it to this day and wish I had stayed as they have become so successful and now have several sites accross the uk and now a site in South Africa. If I still lived in Glasgow, I would go back and work for them in a heartbeat!

    Cons

There was never enough hours in the day for the role that I did as it was always extremely busy, however, I did love working in this kind of environment so this is not a negative as such.

    Advice to Management

Some people within the business did not understand workload and this proved to be an issue on the instances where things pushed back to them due to conflicting more important which had to be done.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Kura (Glasgow, Scotland) in September 2016.

    Interview

Very drawn out. From initial interview it took another two week for them to get back to me with an interview date. This was due to staff providing mixed messages, one said it was completely fine to hold an interview out of hours - yet another told me this wasn't possible and offered two inconvenient time slots. When it eventually went ahead, the interview went well and a couple of days later I received feedback that reiterated this. I was told that they had a couple more people to interview so they could 'benchmark' - and there were TWO more interviews to go through in the process. A week later I received an email asking if I'm still looking and the process is being held up longer than expected. It's safe to say I completely lost interest - who wants to work for a company like that? They claim to be rebranding and shifting their focus etc etc, but it seems they still have a long way to go.
