    Pros

Kurt Salmon has one of the best company cultures that you will find in the consulting world. The people are varied, friendly and extremely well specialised in their fields. The acquisition has meant that they have been able to tap into a wealth of knowledge from Accenture and in general the team are very happy with the move. If you are looking for projects that are operationally focused and allow for a real hands on retail approach then this is the company for you.

    Cons

There is a degree of repetition on projects compared to other consultancies. If you like what you are doing, this is great!

    Advice to Management

Overall great job. You do need to know however that at a junior level everyone knows there is a large disparity in remuneration packages. Keep engaging with your team, they are the best advert to your success in this new world

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kurt Salmon.

    Interview

First, you have to take an analytical abilities test to get to the first round. I didn't find it very challenging but am told that many others didn't do very well. Make sure to do the practice questions as many times as you need until you feel comfortable with the material. The first round interviewer was very nice and really tried to help guide me through. Ultimately didn't work out.

    Interview Questions

    • Why consulting? I wasn't expecting it so quickly but it was the first question asked and that threw me off a bit.   Answer Question
