I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Leeds and York Partnership NHS (United Kingdom) in Apr 2017

    Interview

On the day of the interview, I overheard the two interviewees screaming “why are we doing more interviews, we need to rethink the process here” which suggested to me that this role was already filed and the process was a waste of my time, I went ahead and proceeded with the interview but this completely threw me off. There was lot of time waiting for the interview panel, at least 25 minutes in an open corridor, they appeared unprepared, they struggled to build rapport throughout the process, The panel also seemed irritated by questions asked to them. It would be suggested that they decline inviting candidates for interview if a role has already been filled than go through the motions for a tickbox exercise. I got a call to advise of the decision, which i already presumed with no feedback, this is totally unprofessional and unacceptable especially after a three stage interview process , you should have the feedback ready and prepared. Interviews are about giving a good reflection of an organisation, not everyone is desperate for a job ! Had I received an offer I would have declined
