We welcomed ambitious graduates to our Graduate Open Day at Glaziers Hall on 28 March. We had over 200 people register with us, and we spoke to many of them in person about who we are and what we do. We also enjoyed answering their questions! We’re pleased that so many graduates are enthusiastic about LCCC and where we are headed on our Net Zero journey. There’s scope for many opportunities in the Energy arena right now. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to those dedicated graduates, who showed an interest in our work and turned up to speak to us in person to find out more. Let’s work towards our net zero goals together! If anyone would like to find out more about our graduate scheme and apply, please use the link below: http://ow.ly/sJIX50NzUgn

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Low Carbon Contracts (London, England) in Oct 2023

      Interview

Three stages: - Online quiz which measured knowledge of Python, Django, with some small coding exercises for Python. - First stage interview with Engineer Lead and Scrum Master. Basic questions on how I handle myself at work, how I deal with challenges, non-technical audiences, etc. Also some general questions on programming, like whether I've used git, worked on pipelines, Python language features/linting. Also was asked to modify code I made for an exercise during the previous step. - Final stage interview with Scrum Manager, Delivery Lead and a Software Engineer. Some more general questions on how I work and handle conflicts, how I contribute to a collaborative environment. Also asked to review some Python code with accompanied tests where I was asked to share my thoughts as I was reviewing.
      Interview

They asked me what I would do if I had 3-4 hours to review the code they gave me.
