It’s an approach which has helped M&G to grow its customers’ assets under management to £275 billion (as of 31 March 2017). Our range of investment strategies has also grown: alongside cash, international bonds and shares, we also put our customers’ money to work in global real estate and alternative investments such as infrastructure.

In 2015 we donated £750,000 to UK registered charities and community organisations, supporting activities in the arts, education, social and welfare, children and youth, heritage and the environment.

We also encourage our employees in their charitable activities and our overall donations included those which supported: 

  • Initiatives recommended by employees 
  • Employees taking part in fund-raising events 
  • Employees volunteering for charities and community organisations  

We do not usually make donations to large national charities. However, we have made exceptions where employees have a personal commitment to a national charity or where we can donate to branches of national charities close to M&G’s offices.

In 2015 we supported over 200 charities and community organisations.

    Fantastic culture, the M&G family really care about everyone.

    Cons

    Many employees stay a long time which can be considered positive but also negative due to not much promotion opportunity.

    Advice to Management

    Management hierarchy is flat and almost all staff are completely approachable.
