    Marketing Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in London, England
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Macmillan Publishers (London, England) in March 2015.

    Interview

Applied online and about a month later their internal recruiter emailed confirming an interview date and time - with only a day and half notice. Apart from the short notice, what I found odd was that the recruiter's email was written as if I was aware of being invited: failing to ask for my availability and give further details about the role.

Two interviews and one presentation later, I was not surprised when the same recruiter didn't respond to my feedback / update request.

Not being offered the job was not what prompted me to write this review; rather it was the recruiter's un-professionalism and poor communication skills. You would think a company that size and history would hire better recruiters as from employee brand perspective they sure paint a dire picture to candidates.
