I worked at Manchester United part-time
- The atmosphere
- Your colleagues
- Good pay
- Straightforward protocol
- You can feel like just a number, given how many staff they have for matchdays
- A serious amount of people you'll never know or get an opportunity to
Advice to Management
Organise more events for the staff to socialise away from work
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Manchester United (Manchester, England) in July 2017.
Applied online, a few days later recieved an email saying they'll call me. They didn't. Tried to call them, they didn't answer. A few months later reapplied and they answered the phone following the email. Had a phone interview, was asked typical questions. Then was invited for a face to face interview at the end of the phone call. Many people were at the face to face interview, some poorly dressed. Almost all were hired even tho some people weren't dressed correctly. The interviewer asked me competency questions and the usual ones but didn't seem interested in the answer. At the end of the interview I was invited to an induction. If you get the email saying to call them you pretty much got the job as long as you don't say anything really crazy. Online application didn't ask for a Cv or anything, just availability and that you have no tattoos or piercings that can't be covered.
