    Pros

Loads of responsibility, variety of projects with great clients, great people to learn from.

    Cons

As it’s a small business you don’t always much choice what you work on. Not much in the way of structured training.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Manifesto Growth (London, England) in April 2017.

    Interview

I arrived for 1st interview, and they had booked the wrong day in the diary, so they asked me to come back the next day, which I agreed to. The interview was conducted well, by two Managers, but I was too senior for the role (Consultant level), and the interviewers proposed that I come back in to interview for a role at the Manager, or Director level. That interview was scheduled for the following week, and I met a Director and a Manager. That was also a good interview, with a clear explanation of the company, what typical client engagements looks like, and some probing competency questions.
I was invited back for the next round, and asked to prepare a twenty minute presentation, on a client problem that they chose. I researched and created the presentation over a bank holiday weekend, in preparation for my interview on the Tuesday afternoon immediately after the bank holiday. Three hours before my interview, I received an email saying that they'd filled the position at the end of the previous week, and would have to cancel my interview.
All of the people I met were very friendly, knowledgeable and smart. I don't doubt that their client work is good, but their internal processes leave a lot to be desired. If you're expecting candidates to invest their time in your interview process, you have to have a structure in place to ensure that their time is not wasted.
