One of Israel's three cable TV carriers, Matav provides digital and analog cable TV and brodband Internet access to about 265,000 subscribers. The company works closely with Israel's two other cable companies, Tevel and Golden Channels. The three companies have combined some operations under the HOT brand name and Matav has agreed to acquire the two rivals. Matav offers digital cable service, pay-per-view TV, high-speed Internet access, and phone service (through HOT Telecom). Matav also invests in other telecom businesses: It has stakes in mobile phone operator Partner Communications and in international phone company Barak I.T.C.
