Training & Development
We are firm believers that becoming a highly successful recruitment consultant doesn’t, and shouldn’t, happen by accident. Your talent, commitment and (if you’re already a recruitment consultant) experience deserve to be recognised and matched by us. We do this by supporting your energy and efforts with a multi-level training framework comprising a sustained programmes of in-house and external training. And this support has no end-date –it continues throughout your career with us, all the way from your first steps in consulting to, who knows, senior management.
We have partnered with Emma Maynard from Inspire HR & Training who is working with us to deliver bespoke training and coaching to our newly promoted consultants and our already experienced staff.
McGregor Boyall's 4 Step Training Programme:
Our Foundation Course consists of a Training Academy for people joining us with no recruitment experience
Our Core Programme develops our Associate Consultants and Consultants with up to 18 months experience into full 360 Recruiters.
Our Evolve Programme is for people who have around 2 years experience and are looking for their next challenge.
Our Enhance Programme is for senior leadership to support them in taking their career to the next level.

Good company with strong values. Hard working yet fun and sociable, collaborative environment. Approachable management team and very hands on CEO who can always been seen walking up and down the office and having a chat. Some exciting expansion plans in the pipeline. Excellent training and development programmes for Consultants from the Graduate Training Academy all the way up to Leadership and Management Development. Strong brand in the market and passionate about Diversity and CSR.
London offices in particular are very dated. Working hours are a little archaic.
Advice to Management
Consider establishing a Staff Council to ensure regular feedback to management.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took a week. I interviewed at McGregor Boyall Associates (London, England) in June 2017.
Competency based interview with a range of current employees, from Associate Consultant up to Director. I went in for 3 interviews, each lasting between 1-3 hours, and was asked a relatively similar set of questions in each. There was ample time provided at the end for questions which allowed me to get a good feel of the company + the culture there.
