    Graduate Analyst Interview

    Anonymous Employee in London, England

    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MediaCom UK (London, England) in August 2019.

Such a positive experience! Extremely friendly and welcoming, and was put at ease at every stage of the process.

I applied online after seeing their ad on LinkedIn and was emailed by GroupM HR/Talent the day after to have an initial telephone interview. I was given tips on questions to prepare for, and had to research into a couple of media campaigns and give some information on them over the phone (what I liked/where they successful/etc.).

I was then invited to an assessment day taking place around 10 days later (just a few hours after my telephone interview). Before the day, I was given some data for one of their clients and I had to prepare a 10-15 min presentation on the key drivers of sales and actionable recommendations that I would give - very straight forward if you know what you're doing! There were 15 interviewees at the assessment day, but all the employees got to know you personally and I was made to feel very welcome. We were firstly given a presentation on MediaCom and Business Science UK, then introduced ourselves to everyone participating. Then we had to present our task 1:1 to a current employee (very relaxed, nothing to worry about!), followed by a short data/numeracy test - super easy. We then had a short break before being allocated groups and creating a data model within the team - this was really enjoyable! Lastly we had 'speed interviews' where we would have 2 minutes to answer one question with one employee and go around the room/employees for 20-30 mins. Very intense but certainly not as difficult as a typical interview, and some of the questions asked were quite light-hearted and jovial.

I was then called a few days later asking how I felt the assessment day went, my thoughts in general and asked to rate out of 10 how much I would still want the role - which I was offered at the end of the call.

Overall I think they're mostly interested in your personality and how you'd fit into the team and their work culture. I managed to build quite a good rapport with a few of the employees, just try to do the same!
