    Junior Project Manager Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at NHS Digital (Leeds, England) in November 2016.

    Interview

After applying online, NHS Digital contacted me for a telephone interview, this was one on one with one of their project managers and was general discussion around my experience.
Once I past that stage of I was asked to attend the panel interview and give a short presentation. There was then a final stage with an interview with the Deputy CIO. The whole process too about 6 weeks and the feedback I received at the end of it was detailed and helpful.

    Interview Questions

    • The panel interview involved 6 questions, I can only remember 5 of them:
      1. A general start to finish project management question.   Answer Question
    • 2. An example of what you did when something went wrong on your project - here they are looking for stakeholder management skills.   Answer Question
    • 3. A question on Planning   Answer Question
    • 4. How do you Management information in your project - touch on things such as version control and document access.   Answer Question
    • 5. How have you managed external reviews of your project   Answer Question
