    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at NTT Communications in January 2017.

    Interview

Following a successful telephone interview, and getting to know the recruiters client, I unfortunately had to postpone the second stage interview due to illness, following this I had requested to rescheduled it due to a clash. I received an email from a HR adviser saying I had no choice but to "stick" to the current slot as they had already changed it for me the first time. As this wasnt very assuring as to why they couldn't get engage with the hiring manager directly to confirm whether they could or could not change it, I was then advised to contact another HR advisor whom I telephone screened with and assuming I had built further rapport with them I decided to call. The level of rudeness I received from the HR advisor was astonishing! It was along the lines of "dont you think this interview is more important?" I sent an email to withdraw my application immediately. Our emails arrived within minutes of one another, but they then emailed to say after asking the hiring directors, they would be happy to reschedule it. Although after all if this, those unprofessional conversations with HR seemed unnecessary but I equally wouldnt have wanted to join an org which allows that conduct to be on the face of potential candidates as I'm sure the interview with the directors would have went well.
