    I have been working at Nationwide Building Society full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Training scheme is fantastic. You learn so much in your first two weeks. You get all the support you need and are never left on your own. Great career prospects, you get to choose whether you'd like to go into sales or management. Working hours also brilliant.

    Cons

    Only thing I can think of is that you'll have to work some saturdays which is unpaid however they count as extra days off which is also good for some people.

    Advice to Management

    One thing I'd suggest is perhaps not putting new starters in very busy or understaffed branches as they may not get enough time to prep properly before their course.

    Application

    I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Nationwide Building Society (London, England).

    Interview

    First stage is a online aptitude test. This is relatively straight forward and I got the results within a week.Then a phone interview that consisted of about 5 questions wanting to know why I wanted to work for nationwide and why I would be a suitable candidate. Followed by an in store interview with two branch managers. The interview lasted just under 2 hours and consisted of questions and a presentation. I was told in advance the types of questions that may be asked and give ample time to prepare.
