Highest Rated CEOs: 2017 (#5)
I have been working at Nationwide Building Society full-time (More than 3 years)
Management are very mature and good, the framework surrounding analyst management is beneficial to those being managed. New CEO is pushing innovative ideas that are good.
Senior management tend to try to do too much to the detriment of the work. The vast majority projects run over, costing money and producing worse final outputs. Rework or sacking of unfinished expensive projects is common.
Advice to Management
Work on your project planning. Plan what is doable and look for a good outcome rather than trying to appear overly capable to impress your peers and management.
I applied online. The process took 7+ weeks. I interviewed at Nationwide Building Society (Swindon, Wiltshire, South West England, England) in June 2017.
telephone interview, assessment centre, second interview. Long gaps between application stages and I didn't get a second interview but they told us we would be told in 24 hours and to keep diaries free for a second interview but then sent rejections over two days later which felt unprofessional and discourteous. Interviewers pleasant and polite and the environment professional. Materials were clear what they were looking for.
We've recently had the results in from our employee survey, and here are the results...
