Company Updates

Opencast is delighted to welcome new government relations director Henry Rex. Henry’s appointment will strengthen and widen Opencast’s working relationships with government departments. Henry has joined Opencast from global tech giant Microsoft, where he was central government industry advisor. Henry shared: “My new role at Opencast is to build out our reputations and relationships all across government, ensuring more government departments understand our capabilities and our narrative. We already have a great reputation within the departments we work with … but there is so much more we could do with other departments”.

Opencast has appointed a new head of social impact, reaffirming our commitment to being a purpose-driven business. 🌍 Stef Monaco’s appointment into the newly created role came as we submitted our application for B Corp status – an accreditation designed to measure a company’s social and environmental impact. Stef shared: “I’m delighted to have taken up my new role to continue to support Opencast’s commitment to drive positive impact for people and planet.. There are all sorts of reasons why social impact is important to Opencast.. it’s about living out our purpose, mission and vision which are all about doing the right thing – for our clients, their users, our team and the wider community.”

Opencast Reviews

Pros
One of the very few companies that delivers on its promises. When you’re told about the culture in the interview, it’s that good and more. Very open, everyone working as a team, brilliant consultation internally, fun and lovely colleagues. Work moves quickly, it’s not bureaucratic and if you have a good idea people listen and you can make it happen. Hybrid working model is great, as is the compensation. This includes little touches like free cereal and big things like generous pension and vesting of shares.
Cons
Genuinely aren’t any for me.
