Denmark-based energy provider Ørsted wanted to stay ahead of the competition and retain its status as the world’s most sustainable energy company. To do so, we helped them adopt agile approaches that enable them to make the most of technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and automation to achieve their goals. We trained teams to rapidly develop services based on clear customer value. By working in new ways and adopting innovative technologies, Ørsted has become a data-driven organisation. Ørsted is now on track to produce 99 per cent of its energy from green sources by 2025.

In the United States, many utilities run power lines underground to protect them. But this makes equipment failures hard to find and fix. Our utility reliability experts brought together a team of specialists to address this growing need. In partnership with industrial IoT machine learning experts Toumetis and San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E), we are co-developing iPredict™, an innovative way to predict equipment failures, and we’re trialling it with the utility. iPredict™ collects and analyses data from multiple sources, using machine learning to identify warning signs. Preliminary research and testing reveal the technology could be a new tool for utilities and enhance electric grid reliability.
