Mission: PHMG strives to make audio part of every brand’s identity, introducing businesses across the globe to the true power of sound. In doing so, we’ll further strengthen our position as a world leader.
On Sunday February 25th, Mark Williamson and Michael Nipper took on a huge challenge for the PHMG Foundation, when they completed the Christie Tower Run.
Starting at the very bottom of the iconic Beetham Tower, the pair ran up all 798 steps of the Manchester landmark in a combined time of under 15 minutes – an incredible effort and a result that smashed their previous time from last year’s event. And in the process, they raised £4,160/$5,616 for The Christie Hospital and the PHMG Foundation’s four deserving charities. This figure is set to be doubled by the company, creating a staggering total of £8,320/$11,232.
Established in 1998, PHMG has grown to become the world’s leading audio branding agency. Today, we help more than 32,000 businesses from every sector of the global market sound as good as they look – including world-leading brands such as Coca-Cola, Audi and Adidas.
Blending an exclusive Brand-Sound-Track™, creative copy and world-class voice artistry, we develop audio brands that represent the distinct identity of each individual client, with each element entrusted to the industry’s finest writing, composition and voiceover talent. These inspiring productions replaces the beeps or silence traditionally heard on-hold, connecting with a captive audience to engage listeners, encourage inquiries and create the most professional company image in this vital channel for consumer communication.
PHMG is a proud member of the Institute of Customer Service (ICS). Following a recent in-depth survey by the ICS, we scored higher than the UK average in every category, with a 98.5% overall satisfaction rate. These exceptional results prove our Audio Brand Consultants and Account Managers’ unwavering commitment to customer care.
Now’s an exciting time to be part of PHMG. Our international client base is expanding across the globe, creating endless opportunities for rapid career progression. And with your success comes valuable rewards.
More than 480 staff work across our offices in Manchester and Chicago – and we want to add your talent to our dynamic, creative and passionate team.
How does your future sound?
Showing our support. Playing our part.
The PHMG Foundation is our unique fundraising initiative, designed to help us give something back. Founded in 2013, it was established with one key objective in mind:
To assist – in any such way the trustees see fit – any charity whose aims include relieving poverty, distress, sickness and disease.
Every year, each department in the company selects the charity they want to fundraise for, allowing us to support the causes closest to our hearts. In just four years, we’ve raised more than £150,000 for almost 50 different organisations – taking part in 150 activities including marathons, triathlons and assault courses. 2016 was our biggest year yet, and we raised a record total of £30,000. This was doubled by the company to create a donation of £60,000, and this incredible result is all down to the hard work and generosity of our staff.
Last year may have been a huge success, but we’re not stopping there. 2017’s list of charities features 18 worthy causes including Action for Children, Rainbow Trust and the Toronto Humane Society. With a new target of £50,000 and a host of exciting events in the pipeline, we plan to make this year even bigger and better.
The PHMG ethos:
As a company, we take great inspiration from American Football Coach Vince Lombardi’s famous quote:
“Individual commitment to a group effort – this is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilisation work.”
This philosophy shapes the way we work on a day-to-day basis, and we expect all our employees to share our individual commitment to the group effort. But our ethos goes beyond this. From this quote, our company mantra was born:
Hard work – Irrational commitment – Continuous improvement
Every member of our staff embodies these qualities, and it’s these three principles that are the key to success at PHMG.

Advice to Management
I love every day at PHMG & wouldn’t change a day of my journey through the business so far. Can’t wait to see what the future holds.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at PHMG (Manchester, England) in June 2017.
Hiring process consisted of an initial telephone call by their internal recruiter. Then a face to face interview with a team leader, then a final interview with the sales manager/director.
