I have been working at Pets at Home full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pets at Home is a supportive and caring business which understands that its number one asset are its people. Our values are important. Everyone knows them, everyone lives them and believes in them wholeheartedly and is actually proud of
them right across the group. Pets before profit runs deep but teamwork, pride and progression are also everywhere, as is the desire to continuously improve.

There are a vast array of benefits that support the work life balance such as "flying the nest day" when a child leaves home or starts school and birthday's are given as an extra day off.

    Cons

I would not want to work anywhere else

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Pets at Home (London, England).

    Interview

Applied online. Got invited for a group day which involved standing and talking for 1 minute about your favourite animal and reasons they are you favourite. We then got split into groups of 5 and had to build a tower using only newspaper and sellotape. We then had to choose 3 products and plan a tv or radio advert incorporating the chosen products. About a week later I got invited for a work trial which lasted about an hour. In that time i was shown how to work the till, how to face up the store and also shown the warehouse. I also had to clean out a hamsters cage with 4 hamsters. I got word after another week that I had been offered the position 😁
