    Pros

Small enough that you can have decently meaningful impacts that shape how things are done while relatively young / junior compared to bigger name alternatives.

Genuinely a leader in the PDM field, and acknowledged as such by other companies and industry bodies (always nice to hear!)

Opportunities for travel, both regional and international - fun to see different teams and clients in their cultural contexts, good on the CV and you can usually add a few days for yourself.

Very supportive and approachable team - both at practitioner and senior management level - if you want / need something and make a reasoned case for it, the chances are it will be approved or arrangements made. Minor queries are usually addressed in mins rather than hours.

    Cons

Things are run lean, so there's a lot of non-core work to plough through, all taking time.

Pay and benefits are fair but not industry leading - a question of personal priorities against the pros above.

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Quick Release (Melton Mowbray, England) in February 2020.

    Interview

Referred by another consulting firm. Received a video interview to discuss my interest in data and the automotive industry, an Excel exercise to test some basic Excel skills and ability to understand the nature of their work. A full day Assessment day with about 12 candidates and 6 interviewers. A final interview in their office with a regional manager. Offer received a week after the final interview.

Company Updates

  • COVID-19

A note on COVID-19, summer 2020: For the first time in QR history we were forced to make small scale redundancies in some regions. Whilst we have done everything within our power to minimise the distress to those affected, you might see the impact of those redundancies reflected in some of the recent reviews. The QR team were proud of our 4.7-star rating and disappointed with the recent change so asked us to remind prospective candidates to take a longer view of the feedback.

  • COVID-19

Quick Release_ and Newton Europe have joined forces to support the Ventilator Challenge UK Consortium in the national response to COVID-19. Their combined expertise in operational excellence, supply chain mobilisation and transformation programme management have played a pivotal role in rapidly increasing production of Penlon’s ESO2 device – the first emergency ventilator to reach UK hospitals.
