    Broadcast Engineer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Salford, North West England, England

    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

I applied in-person. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Red Bee Media (Salford, North West England, England) in September 2019.

I was entially contacted on the 23rd of June regarding coming in for an interview but didnt recieve a confirmed interview date until the 5th of September for the following week. I travelled over from northern Ireland for the interview on the day which started about 15 minutes late. I was roughly in the interview for two and a half hours it was a three man panel and they were all very nice the interview lasted roughly an hour and a half then there was a paper quiz and I got a tour of the building after that.

My big issue with Red Bee Media is that I had no feedback about the result of the interview for two weeks and then I had to phone the recruiter myself to be told it's a no and he didnt have any feedback for me. Obviously it's a disappointment when ever you dont get a posistion but having spent just under £200 to attend that interview and taking a day off work it would of been nice to get some constructive feedback about how I could improve.

    Interview Questions

    • A lot of compentacy based questions, most of them were very similar to one another which made it hard to answer the third or fourth one with out repeating yourself. For example

What do you know about red bee media?
      What attracted you to apply?
What services that we offer interest you the most?

The paper test was fairly outdated had a few questions about half duplex ethernet so its obviously been knocking around for a while.   Answer Question
