      Description RFC Franchising operates Ritter's Frozen Custard, a chain of more than 30 franchised frozen dessert outlets found mostly in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. The eateries offer several flavors of frozen custard along with such specialty items as Cubby Paws (frozen custard sandwiches), Glaciers (frozen custard mixed with candy, cookies, or fruit), malts, and shakes. Chicago native John Ritter started the chain in 1989 after developing his own recipe for frozen custard. The company was acquired by New York-based multi-concept franchisor TruFoods in 2008.
