I have been working at Rocksteady full-time (More than a year)
The studio has some amazing talent that whilst being world class is still humble and respectful. There is respect for everyone there and the desire to make an amazing product is contagious.
The studio has loads of opportunities for socialising in lunch hour gaming / sports clubs and other out of office hours events.
All in all there are loads of great reasons to work there.
I really struggle here, whenever I've thought of something and mentioned it to a manager, magically the issue seems to get resolved almost instantly. I realise that doesn't sound like a con, but like every workplace ever of course there'll be some issue when there's a moderately sized team of individuals working together. Never have I seen a workplace turn cons around into resolved issues quicker than at Rocksteady.
Advice to Management
They value each individual from my observations and its clear that the management understands that it takes every member of the team to make something fresh and innovative that hits the quality threshold that Rocksteady is known for.
The positive support and encouragement should be lauded and maintained in my opinion.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5+ weeks. I interviewed at Rocksteady (London, England) in May 2016.
I was approached directly by the studio and knowing the studios history and reputation I was immediately interested. There was a skype interview to begin with and after that I went for further interviews with a few relevant members of staff.
Everyone throughout this process were very nice and at the same time I could get a clear idea of the caliber at which the studio operates, which is to say a very agile and willing to take risks and innovate.
