I have been working at Rocksteady full-time (More than a year)
The studio has some amazing talent that whilst being world class is still humble and respectful. There is respect for everyone there and the desire to make an amazing product is contagious.
The studio has loads of opportunities for socialising in lunch hour gaming / sports clubs and other out of office hours events.
All in all there are loads of great reasons to work there.
I really struggle here, whenever I've thought of something and mentioned it to a manager, magically the issue seems to get resolved almost instantly. I realise that doesn't sound like a con, but like every workplace ever of course there'll be some issue when there's a moderately sized team of individuals working together. Never have I seen a workplace turn cons around into resolved issues quicker than at Rocksteady.
Advice to Management
They value each individual from my observations and its clear that the management understands that it takes every member of the team to make something fresh and innovative that hits the quality threshold that Rocksteady is known for.
The positive support and encouragement should be lauded and maintained in my opinion.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Rocksteady (London, England) in June 2017.
Skype call that lasted 30 mins, very upbeat and sounded a great company to work for. Hired through a recruitment agency. I was told the same day that they would like to hire me for the position.
