Each year we offer a number of places on our Global Graduate Scheme, and on our Summer Internship Programme to high quality students from engineering or related disciplines. For graduates it is a great start to your career, and for undergraduates a great opportunity to gain invaluable experience.

For both routes, the learning curve is steep but exciting with opportunities to learn from and work with world-leading experts on live projects. As a market-leading company, at the forefront of engineering development you will regularly be challenged and excited by the work you're involved in on a daily basis.

Graduate Scheme

We start recruiting for our graduate scheme in November each year, places are very limited so there is stiff competition for the places on offer. You will spend 12 months rotating through our departments in our UK headquarters, gaining experience and finding out where your passion lies! Once the 12 months are up, we will discuss the business needs and your preferences in order to allocate you a permenant role within the business with a clear path for career progression. 

Internship Programme 

We start recruiting for interns in December each year. You will join us in one department for a period of 8-12 weeks according to your preference and availability, and get to be involved in team meetings and live projects from day one. For some of the best interns we work with, if possible we can offer ad-hoc contracts to return throughout the year part time alongside your studies, or offer a second internship in a different department the following summer.

    I have been working at Romax Technology full-time (More than 5 years)


    The company made rapid response at the beginning of the pandemic, with encouraging people to work from home earlier than government's official timing. During the lock down period, top management arranged frequent global briefing sessions to get global teams information. Recent downturn in engineering areas have been somewhat inevitable due to slow down of existing projects and new projects intake. The company also made quick decision in terms of flexible resourcing, furloughing, and work hours during work-from-home. The company even paid last year's bonuses recently with everything else is going on. With redundancies news everyday happening in the UK, I am grateful to the management team for their understanding, agility, and transparency. I read some of the reviews recently and felt that it is very unfair for the management team, especially Andy, who has been looking after and growing businesses at this unprecedented time. Please keep up great work, and we need to keep our jobs!


    The company has been running in a very flexible way, so it sometimes lacks of accountability in some areas.

    Advice to Management

    Please ignore those personal attack and focus on running our business. We had a great growth for recent years, we need to keep up great work!

    I interviewed at Romax Technology in November 2019.


    Sending CV and cover letter I had a telephone interview after 4 weeks.

    The telephone interview was informal in general. I believe that I did very well at that one. At the end of the day, the telephone interview should give the interviewer the impression that the interviewee deserves a chance to prove his/her technical competence according to his/her CV.

    Unfortunately, he preferred not to even give that chance. In my CV it's well obvious that I am way above average student, MSc, many related projects to what they do, two publications, with one of them is a novel proposal that is at a post doc level, and away from being confident in what I know.

    There are two possible reasons to what happened. One is that the interviewer is not really qualified to decide who should get and who shouldn't be given the chance. Two is that I was declined because of being an international graduate (UK, Nottingham headquarter)

    In both cases I am really disappointed. I really thought this was my chance since I felt I am a great fit to the vacancy. What a waste of time and concentration!
