SF has a very open culture where the leadership are always available and lead by example. There is a huge team atmosphere and all employees work together very well.

The company is growing fast and maturing as quickly as possible, but at times more clarity on structure or process is needed.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Salary Finance in January 2020.

Telling someone that they have performed well on the interview and that the hiring manager is impressed with how well you have prepared for the interview and you have researched the company. And after that, the reason for not offering the position is because you think the person will be seeking promotion earlier than a year and half this is not really serious. Whether the candidate will be seeking promotion or not, does not secure the company that this person will or will not leave the position earlier than a year and a half or two. When at the interview the candidate only pointed out that will be happy two take a promotion if it presents available. Let's say that the person clearly indicate and the company feels confident that the person will stay at least two years at this position,...let me ask you that - What makes you think and feel secures as company that the person will not leave the company after 6 or 8 months, because of whatever reason? Let's be honest for an entry position most of the contracts don't lock you down with clause of a specific time to stay with the company. I made the contract clarification in case you try to play around with words and use the contract as an excuse.
On the other hand, if you say that you would be coming with the response to somebody at a certain time, have the courtesy keeping that time.
In addition, think for better reasoning when deciding not to go with a certain candidate, simply because there is no guarantee how long an employee will be staying with the company and if you as company use this as the base of reasoning not to offer a job I think it is very superficial and lack of professionalism.
It is nothing personal, just the reasoning is very poor and pity otherwise it seems a nice company, but I would never be able to know. As a piece of actual advice invest in the proper education of your hiring managers - to reason their decision upon the candidate not to assume what it might happen in the future because there is no guarantee for anything in this life. Because I can tell you that with this approach the only thing the company is doing is failing to recruit the right people and recruitment is one of the most important steps about having a proper team.
