I worked at Sanger Institute full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you want a really large scale genomic project then this is the right place to be. You have many support team working together to take care of the lab side so you only need to focus on the project analysis

    Cons

Free bus but the campus is far away and it takes at least 30 minutes to get there

    Interview

3 individual interviews with prospective PIs and one group interview. Thorough and challenging but interesting. The interviewers definitely test your knowledge and your passion for the subject. Even though the interview process is quite exhausting, it is always conducted with respect and enthusiasm.
