Founder and CEO Adam Smith launched Simplestream in 2010, when the cost and complexity of developing an OTT video offering excluded many traditional broadcasters and smaller content providers.
Adam wanted to democratise the market, developing Software as a Service infrastructure that could enable providers of all sizes to deliver premium quality live streaming, catch-up and live-to-VOD experiences, with the highest possible margins.
Since then, Simplestream’s mission has been to reduce the complexity of delivering OTT video services to enable broadcasters, platform operators, content owners and distributors to capture a greater share of the streaming market.
