Mission: Helping people make the most of life through better everyday health.
Meet Jess, one of our Team Leaders in our Customer Contact Centre based in Andover
Here at Simplyhealth we support our employees to make the most of life by offering a great range of benefits and the flexibility to choose what suits you.
There are three parts to our benefits framework here at Simplyhealth; the first part is a core benefit range of what we think is a must have for all our employees, the second is a range of benefits that our employees can choose from and use a flex pot of company funded money and finally those all-important salary sacrifice benefits.
Bonus and Recognition
We reward performance in two ways; one is through an annual Company bonus scheme which enables everyone to share in the success of Simplyhealth. Second is a recognition scheme where our employees have ability to earn significant awards at any time throughout the year for brilliant performance.
Our Corporate Giving is, and always has been, at the heart of fulfilling our purpose and honouring our 145 year heritage.
Donating 10% of our pre-tax profits to our charitable partners every year means we can support health-related charities that are dedicated to helping people with everyday health conditions and challenges. Our corporate giving isn’t just about funding. It’s about partnerships; working together by providing other business services, e.g data analysis, report writing, lobbying, support with data protection and other volunteering opportunities. We do this because we want to see and feel how we make a long term positive difference to people’s lives – what we think of as ‘experiential insight’.
We’re very proud of the fact that in 2016 we donated £1.6m to over 20 different charities, helping people make the most of life by leading happier, healthier lives, thanks to better everyday health.
Corporate Giving is about working at a national level, the local level and personally or what we call’ Giving from within’, which is why we encourage our people to ‘Give, Raise and Volunteer’.
Give As Your Earn
We also help you support your favourite charity through Give As You Earn. It’s the most tax-efficient way to donate to charity as it comes out of gross pay, before you pay tax. Simplyhealth matches up to £50 per month as well as paying all administration fees, so your chosen charity receives your entire donation.
We match-fund colleague fundraising for charities of your choosing by up to £500 for individual fundraising efforts or up to £600 for team fundraising. And for the big annual campaigns like Comic or Sport Relief, Children in Need and Macmillan’s Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning, we match up to £2,000 for all Andover and all Winchester office fundraising.
We provide three volunteering days per year for every employee, so you can make a personal difference to your local communities and with local charitable partners. We offer an additional three days for School Governor duties.
There’s nothing quite as powerful as seeing for yourself the work of our charitable partners or schools that we support. First-hand experience creates a deeper appreciation for our common goals and the results we’re achieving together.

For over 140 years, we've been helping people access affordable healthcare. This places us as one of the longest standing healthcare companies in the UK.
At Simplyhealth, our number one aim is to help people make the most of life through better everyday health and corporate giving is at the core of who we are and what we do. By giving 10% of pre-tax profits to our charitable partners we can help make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged or challenged people, so they can lead the best lives they can. Our current goal is to get #millionsmoving through our partnership with The Great Series.
We’re proud to be the leading provider of everyday health cash plans, dental payment and pet health plans. We help support over 6,500 member dentists, 13,000 corporate client relationships and over 3 million individual customers.
Consumer: helping people and their families make the most of life
Our individual health and dental plans make it easier for people and their families to afford the everyday healthcare treatments they need, as soon as they need them. Our Simply Cash Plan provides our consumers with cover for visits to the dentist, optician and physiotherapist, for example. The Simply Dental Plan covers additional dental treatments including dental accident and emergency.
Life’s easier with faster access
We want people to get well sooner by being able to visit a health practitioner as soon as they need to. Plus with our 24/7 GP Service, they can speak to a doctor sooner and more conveniently, wherever they are. With online claiming, it’s faster than ever for our customers to submit a claim and get the cost back, up to their chosen limit.
Corporate: supporting wellbeing in work
As well as healthcare for individuals, Simplyhealth provides businesses with health plans, to help their employees stay well and perform at their best. Whatever company you work for, preventative healthcare can encourage motivation, help reduce absence, and boost mental health, which all contribute to helping us perform well.
Helping employees care for their ageing loved ones
We know that there are 3 million people in the UK who juggle paid work with caring for an ageing loved one. Our Care for Life benefit supports carers in the workplace to help them manage the challenges, stresses and demands of caring for an ageing loved one.
Simplyhealth combines its experience in healthcare with Denplan’s 31 years as the UK’s leading dental payment plan provider and pioneering pet health plans. Now known as our Simplyhealth Professionals business, we work together with healthcare professionals across the dental and veterinary industries, to provide affordable healthcare plans.
Helping people access dental care with our dental payment plans
Denplan payment plans enable our customers to budget for their dental treatment, like check-ups and hygiene treatments, by claiming back costs towards it, up to a chosen limit.
Supporting dental practices
Denplan payment plans make it easier for dentists to develop and grown their practices through convenient training programmes and guidance. The training also provides a unique Denplan Excel certification programme.
Supporting veterinaries through animal health plans
Simplyhealth Professionals is the UK’s leading provider of preventative healthcare packages for cats, dogs, rabbits and horses. Our animal health plans allow vets to spend less time worrying about running a business and more time taking care of pets. We’re on hand to help with everything from signing up clients over the phone and bespoke marketing support, to delivering interactive and engaging training to practice staff.
Helping people access pet healthcare
As well as supporting vets, our animal health plans help pet owners afford routine preventative healthcare for their pets. Our plans offer benefits like flea and worm treatment, annual vaccinations and other routine treatments, to help keep pets healthy and happy.
I have been working at Simplyhealth full-time (More than 10 years)
Simplyhealth invest in their people and if you have the right drive and attitude, there is opportunities to develop and progress. The overall benefit package is really good and it is a nice atmosphere to work in.
We are going through a lot of change to ensure we grow the business in the right direction, whilst this is also a positive there can be frustrations when you want things to move at pace, but we are moving for the better.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Simplyhealth (Andover, England) in October 2017.
Started with a phone call, asking questions around my CV and about myself. Offered an interview for the following week. Was a group assessment with three other candidates. The day was made up of ice breakers, group and individual tasks, telephone role play and lastly a 1-1 interview. There was a break for lunch and got given food. From the start of the day, we were all made to feel at ease - the ice breakers helped! All three interviewers were friendly and professional. Andy from HR has been in contact from the start of the process, from the pre-interview phone call, arranging an interview and keeping in touch about a start date.
