I have been working at Sykes Cottages full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is an established business with an ambitious yet achievable plan for growth and a very clearly defined strategy. The people here are all highly skilled and motivated and there's a real feeling that we're all working together towards the same goal. There's a genuine focus on wellbeing and work life balance and a huge investment has been made into making this a really comfortable and vibrant place to work (just check out the 4th floor chill out area and gym!) The core values are instilled from induction and are genuinely lived and breathed from the top down. The benefits package is a real positive. There are lots of opportunities for progression within a growing business. I feel very lucky and proud to work for Sykes Cottages and see myself enjoying a long and happy career here.

    Cons

The business has grown at a pace over the last couple of years and changes are still being embedded to provide the structure needed for this level of growth. Inevitably, this has caused some staff to feel a little unsettled, but it feels like this will calm down over the coming months

    Advice to Management

The CEO and Exec team are doing a fantastic job of driving the business forward and the communication structure is in place to make sure employees are kept informed. Continue to be approachable and have the personal touch

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Sykes Cottages.

    Interview

Interesting, informative and gave more information regarding the job. The interview was over the phone which was handy for a first interview. There was some email and phone contact before the interview. Very pleased to be able to get good feedback.
