I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at Syntel (London, England) in April 2014.
The interview process is slow and has multiple rounds spread over many weeks. The HR you deal with can change anytime so this may cause confusion. Band and salary needs to be negotiated hard. Telephone interview option is available for people located remotely, however this depends on the requirement.
