Mission: We are the Un-carrier and #WeWontStop breaking the rules of wireless.
I have been working at T-Mobile full-time
Great, motivated team players with good cross-functional partnership. Leadership wants you to succeed in whichever path you choose. Company spirit is unmatched and leader enthusiasm is contagious. The "Un-Carrier" is always looking for ways to push boundaries and stereotypes in every way, which is refreshing and promotes a sense of pride. They're really great about giving back to the community and doing the right thing when it comes to both customers and employees.
The company is growing fast and real estate is a problem. Buildings are packed, parking is hard to come by* and conference rooms keep getting eliminated so sense of privacy is non-existent. Desk sharing and working from home is becoming the norm. ALTHOUGH they just started a major remodel of the whole campus. It will take 3 years and "flex spaces" will be prominent, but they're really getting creative with how best to utilize the limited space.
*Many parking alternatives are provided. Designated carpool spots, Lyft redemption, vanpools, and even free Magenta shuttles from popular destinations!
Advice to Management
Keep listening to your employees for feedback and keep having conversations about our futures. We work harder when we know our leadership is invested in us. Make on-boarding a priority to set us up for success and take the weight off your shoulders.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at T-Mobile (Hatfield, East of England, England) in January 2011.
Online assessment which had a personality test, literacy and numeracy. Most was multiple choice but also needed some open answers to questions.Telephone interview which had approximately 10 questions. Asked about reason why I applied, previous experience and salary expectations.Followed by face to face interview with approx 8 questions. Questions based on performance management, team building, customer service and staff development.
A big man with a big heart. James “Buck” Buckingham has gone from the Air Force to semi-pro football player to T-Mobile. His drive and dedication to everything he does is what makes him such a success and are only a few of the reasons why we love having a great team member like Buck. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQbwC
You can't change the world if your team is broken across silos. That's why we combined our Product and our Digital Technology and Development teams to form one streamlined team, Product & Technology. This will let our team-members work together and execute ideas more efficiently. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ33L
