Advice to Management
Advice for potential employees. Teamwork.com operates in a relatively new space of software development and is really good at it. I came from a more traditional industry and was a bit skeptical about applying ( leaving a pensionable full time time job...blah, blah) but after doing some research was excited by what Teamwork was doing. Although I am not a software developer the environment created by the owners to create and enhance our product offering is excellent. The offices are fresh and personalised, team spirit thrives and meetings are kept to a necessary minimum. Additional benefits include a competitive salary, gym membership, free lunches and ample opportunities to learn. The operating pace is swift and does take a little time to get up to speed but once your there it becomes the norm.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Teamwork.com (Belfast, Northern Ireland) in April 2018.
Technical challenge to be completed in Go at home with a week to complete with tests. Relatively simple scenario. Upon completion very minimal feedback given and lack of any coherent follow up. Recruitment team indicated they'd reach out when hiring for the position I had applied for despite saying they were before commencing. Company continues to advertise for position with no follow up. Disappointing handling in general and mixed messages throughout
