I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Tesco Bank (Glasgow, Scotland) in February 2017.
I applied online on the Friday and received an email invitation to do a telephone interview on the Monday. I chose my slot for the Wednesday and received the call exactly on time. The woman let me know there and then that I had passed, and invited me to an assessment centre day (2.5-3hrs) the following Monday at 10am. There was a group of 9 of us, some received a presentation and tour of the building first, while the rest of us done our one to one interview and role play. The one-to-one interview was more so on getting to know you and how you deal with different situations in or out of work (not really competency based). I then completed a role-play which was around 4 and a half minutes - it was a very relaxed, simple role play where they were simply assessing your tone and how you handle customers. This section took around 40 minutes. My group then received the presentation which was just some facts about Tesco bank, and benefits and salary of the job. The final part was a tour of the building where we were shown the floor and the cantine. We were told we would hear back within 48 hours - I got a call the next day around 11am with an offer.
