This week Berkeley continued celebrating UK Black History Month with a panel of our people sharing their perspectives on black experiences and identities, thanks to: Corinne Browne-Marke, Joseph Mogaji, Julie Kharono Orisakwe and Moses Ayinde for their enlightening presentations. We also sampled some tasty Afro-Caribbean snacks in the office, before heading over to Enish to enjoy some incredible Nigerian cuisine. Interview
I interviewed over the summer which took ~6 weeks in total as a process due to holidays (usually I understand that this takes ~4 weeks).
The recruitment team were really communicative and supportive throughout the process.
The first pre-stage was a session with the recruitment lead to gauge motivations and expectations (this was around 45mins).
The first formal interview was with a single partner but was more conversational and 2 way than I was expecting which put me at ease. There's plenty of chance to ask questions and I felt that this gave me a good idea of the type of work and the atmosphere I'd be signing up for!
The second interview involved presenting on 2 previous pieces of work, I felt I had ample time to prepare this and the 2 partners that ran the interview asked lots of questions to clarify the type of work and specifically my contribution. Both partners were forthcoming with intros on their own experience and welcomed lots of questions so again this felt like a 2 way process.....which made me want it more!#
The final stage was a half day (3-4hr) case study. The time was split down into intros, review/prep, role play and an active working session with the partner. This was a great insight into how closely consultants work with partners and what the support structure looks like in practice.
I was given feedback and an offer on the same day.InterviewWhy do you want to join Berkeley?
