    Account Executive Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in New York, NY (US)
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Knot Worldwide (New York, NY (US)) in August 2019.

    Interview

I applied for an Account Executive role on LinkedIn, and received an email the next day inviting me to interview.

The interview was fine - very standard questions for a sales interview. I felt good about the opportunity until we discussed compensation.

The recruiter told me that the base salary for this position was $40k. This is an insultingly low salary for an Account Executive role.

It is clear that the position I applied for is really a Sales Development Representative role, but for some reason TNWW decided to add the title Account Executive, apparently so that more experience hires such as myself would be encouraged to waste their time.
