Trailfinders – Why Work With Us?

Experts in tailormaking itineraries worldwide, Trailfinders offers unbeatable value and exceptional service.

Trailfinders was founded in 1970 by former SAS officer Mike Gooley with a staff of four. The company remains privately owned but today has a staff of over 1000 and has made travel arrangements for over 15 million clients.

32 travel centres are staffed by the most expert travel consultants in the industry. On hand 7 days a week we are located throughout the UK and Ireland.

With a worldwide reputation, we have the widest range of flights, tours, hotels, cruises, car & motorhome hire across the globe. From budget to luxury our prices are amongst the lowest you will find anywhere.

As the pioneers of tailormade travel we believe there's no substitute for one-on-one, bespoke service. Our travel consultants have between them travelled to over 96% of the world's countries. As a result the service and advice they offer is second to none.

We aim to always exceed the expectations of our clients,
staff and suppliers.

At Trailfinders our aim is

To exceed the expectations of our clients, colleagues and suppliers.

Trailfinders' unrivalled reputation for offering an efficient and friendly service to our clients is attributed entirely to the knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment of our staff.

I have been working at Trailfinders full-time (More than 3 years)

I have been in the travel industry for over 15 years and Trailfinders are, by far, the best employer within this sector. Apart from the excellent pay, free lunches, travel opportunities and resources, the company has really shone for me on a personal note. During the corona pandemic they fully supported my need to be furloughed to shield my Mother who I live with and is high risk. I am returning to work on Monday from home, and once again this has been managed quickly and without any hesitation. I really recommend Trailfinders as an employer, I feel valued, supported and respected. If you are passionate about travel and a hard worker I really don't think you could work for better.

You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays, however these are distributed fairly and Travel is an industry which always has an element of unsociable hours.

    Difficult Interview

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Trailfinders (Dublin, Co. Dublin (Ireland)) in January 2019.

Although a fairly long and thorough process, the recruiter was very pleasant and easy to communicate with. The company's values and working expectations are clearly set from the beginning of the interview process. A great emphasis is given on the support provided to the consultants during their training and first months in the centres.

    4 steps interview:
    1. online application form
    2. online assessment which takes 15 minutes
    3. telephone interview
    4. formal interview at travel centre (3 hours long)
