    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Transport for London (London, England).

    Interview

Standard and structured competency based interview set out using HR templates against the competencies that they send you as part of the candidate pack. As long as you have examples of these competencies you won't get caught out.

There are a couple of technical questions for you to answer at the end but if you know your stuff then it shouldn't be a problem.

The interviewers were really friendly and made the the atmosphere of the interview less intense which helped with rapport building during the interview. Both the interviewers are people working in your specialism, which made a difference rather than it being taken by someone from HR who wouldn't have had the same appreciation of the experiences and examples that I'd given.
